Fog of War — New Exploration Mechanic

For the first time in Horizon history, roads and icons are hidden until you physically drive through an area.

Tips for Fog of War

  • Drive new roads — they're revealed permanently once visited
  • Use Festival Outposts — each outpost reveals a small area
  • Climb high points — mountain overlooks reveal surrounding roads
  • Don't rely on fast travel — you'll miss half the map

Fast Travel System

  • Unlock fast travel by visiting Festival Outposts in each region
  • Smash Fast Travel Boards (green) to reduce cost → eventually free
  • There are 50 Fast Travel Boards across the map
  • Tokyo has the highest density (rooftops, highway barriers)
